This episode is with Emma Lucia, who is currently understudying Jenna and part of the ensemble on the UK & Ireland tour of Waitress the Musical — one of the most talked-about shows right now. The popular show opened on Broadway 10 years ago and later transferred to the West End before Covid hit. It is the second time that the show is doing a UK & Ireland tour. Waitress is based on the beloved movie, with songs written by Broadway star Sara Bareilles.

We dive deep into what it’s really like to be an understudy in such a big production, together with the pressure that comes with it, but also the beautiful moments between the cast members.
