Welcome back to Backstage Talks with Jolien!

This episode features Declan Bennett, who plays Gideon in the acclaimed musical The Last Ship, written and composed by international music icon Sting.

Previously, the show toured in Australia and New York, but we were invited to see it at the Koninklijk Theater Carré in Amsterdam—which was also host to international hits last January. It is currently the destination for top-tier shows such as SIX, The Little Big Things, Hadestown, and now The Last Ship.

Declan shared his experience starring in an international touring musical and what it is really like to tour the world!

The Last Ship is playing in Amsterdam until 13 September before heading to London from 22 September to 3 October at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
